Dr. Chajes is an early modern cultural historian whose work currently focuses on the visualization and transfer of knowledge, and specifically the genre of kabbalistic diagrams known as Ilanot. Chajes’s research includes the study of visual materials that circulated between the Land of Israel, Italy, and North Africa in the early modern period.
