On May 29th-June 1st, 2019 our team members participated in a conference held by the MSA (Mediterranean Studies Association) at the University of Crete, Rethymnon, Greece. Among the topics presented at the conference were inter-cultural exchanges of knowledge, a study of Venetian sunken ships, and a comparative study of ancient harbors in the Mediterranean. HCMH co-director Dr. Zur Shalev met with colleagues from the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS) at the University of Crete and examined options for future collaboration through different approaches: History, Archaeology and Environment.
