Dr. Federico Ugolini, HCMH research fellow, published a new paper in the journal Archaeologia Adriatica, titled “The Roman Port of Ancona during the Trajanic Era: Scale, Capacity and Urban Setting”.

The paper explores the Roman port of Ancona during the Trajanic period, through a multidisciplinary examination of literary, archaeological and epigraphic sources. It investigates the scale, capacity and urban setting of Ancona’s port.

The journal Archaeologia Adriatica is a Croatian peer-reviewed journal with major focus on the Adriatic region.
