Dr. Shlomit Bechar, HCMH Post-Doctoral fellow, published a new article in the Palestine Exploration Quarterly, titled “Hazor Rulership and Ritual Manipulation”. The article is co-authored with M. Susnow from the Hebrew University and the University of Haifa, and A. Yasur-Landau, from the University of Haifa. 
The article deals with the uniqueness of Hazor in the activities and use of ceramic vessels within its ritual landscape, in comparison to other sites in the Levant. It shows how the elites of the city controlled the different cultic activities that were conducted at the different temples of the site.
