The digital project Tiresias: The Ancient Mediterranean Religions Source Database, developed by Dr. Moshe Blidstein and Prof. Daphne Raban, has received seed research funding from the Data Science Research Center at the University of Haifa. The aim of the project is to use an innovative method to build a large database of subject-tagged source references on ancient Mediterranean Religion; it currently includes more than 4 million references, tagged by 46,478 subjects. We will use the money to upgrade the website, expand data collection and perform more research on the advantages and limitations of the method.
