Dr. Federico Ugolini, HCMH research fellow, published a new paper in the journal Latomus, titled “A proposito di un dettaglio dal mosaico dell’Hercules bibax nella domus di Palazzo Diotallevi (Rimini)”.

This paper explores the Mosaic of the Hercules bibax focusing on the iconography of the ibis with the snake and on the repertoire of wild and exotic animals in the scene, in order to assess the apotropaic and symbolic messages of the mosaic from Palazzo Diotallevi in Rimini (Italy).
