In December of 2018, the HCMH sponsored the first meeting of the research group “Kinship and Community in the Early and Medieval Islamic Mediterranean” at University of Haifa.
Dr. Simonsohn and Dr. Zinger organized and led the research group.
Multiple conferences and many hours of research later, the HCMH is proud to announce the publication of “Kinship Encounters: People and Ideas in the Medieval Islamicate World” edited by Dr. Uri Simonsohn and Dr. Oded Zinger in May of 2024.
